smoking car... 200

i have an 87 w/ 215k on it and i have aw70 auto transmission w/ a leak. i had all the seals serviced about a year ago but just as soon as i got the car, i noticed another leak. i took it back and the shop said it was a slight leak becuase of some worn fittings. i havent really bothered w/ it besides adding a qt of atf as needed just to keep it full.
i noticed today, after a long drive, the car looked like it was on fire with plumes of white smoke from underneath the car. more or less it looked like steam. I've checked my other fluid levels and everything is fine, even atf fluid. is their anyone that has any experience with this? any help would be great!
