oil leak from hell/122s B18 wrong filter? HELP! 120-130 1965

I just finished a marathon service and preventive maintnence week-end on my wagon i just took delivery on. I Installed new gaskets and seal on timing gear cover, rocker cover, water pump, gas lines and new pump, all heater hoses replaced, rebuilt the Weber carb, changed oil, filter (I used the mann filters i used on my newer volvos). It fired right up, puuured like a kitten....then ahhhhhhhhhhh A huge oil leak from rear of engine, looks to be running from bell housing (bad bad leak), it was not dripping at all from rear of engine before work was done...What did i do? I have been searching all over engine, thought it was running from back of rocker cover, it's not. seems to be comming from pass side of engine. Wow it's bad, was not leaking any from rear before i worked on front of engine.Any guesses folks?
