245ti for sale? 200 1984

The reason i asked what it was worth was because im considering selling, i just found a nice 8v gti in my area for $400 and ive been debating whether the volvo is a serious beater. i would love to dump money into this car and make it a sleeper but that isnt possible at the moment, im considering selling and will leave it perhaps to this, the car is a 245ti, has 165k, a bit of rust, and at the moment does not run as the alternator is out, but prior to this ran like a champ ( i drove about 250 miles on the highway in it last month and it was great) the new alternator would be included with the car, if not by time of sale in the car. I paid $350 and another 150 for the alternator, my total stake is 500 and i would sell it for that amount if anyone was interested? i like the car a lot but the more i think about all the things that could go wrong the more i see this as a car that might not work for me. if anyone here sees otherwise please tell me, how reliable are the turbos? i have heard bad things in the past. the car has not been neglected, but is in need of some work. I dont need a money pit, just transportation. Any advice would be appreciated.
