Although, I read this forum every day, sometimes more than once, I rarely respond, usually because someone else has already made the point I would've made. No matter. For me it's more about going through my life, somehow in a parallel existence with others who share this affliction/pleasure. I have to believe that it keeps my mechanical chops and visualizing skills up.
It's a fantasy of mine to get in the car with a DV camera, and make a 3 month circuit of the country documenting the wisdom, wit,insanity, hoarding tendencies of the lot of us. The story would an anthropological document, I believe showing that a group of folks with a single fixation (for as many reasons as there are 122s/544s) is made up of people with very different ideas about everything else.
And I'd finally find some better seats.
