overfilling an M47? 200

This weekend I'll be changing the fluid in my M47, and I've read on this board that it's a good idea to overfill it. If I drive the left side of my car up on the curb and jack up the side of the car before pumping the fluid in, will that result in enough overfilling?

Obviously, overfilling an engine is bad because it will blow at your seals, which aren't designed to be immersed in hot oil. But are there any possible negative effects like this that would apply to overfilling the M47?
