Brake Master Cylinder; Is there an upgrade to better/safer duel resevour? 120-130 1965

Has anyone upgraded brakes systen on 120 to a more modern/ safer system? After my oil leak ordeal I nearly wrecked it due to mickey moused brass fitting on master cylinder, lot brakes in my yard, so not to bad. Got me thinking; i am trying to imagine how system could be improved.
If you did not see my final post on "oil leak from hell" saga, it did turn out to be oil filter, it is a poor fit and needed to be really tight.
