I'm coming back! After many years without a Volvo I have to get another one. Have owned a 444,144,145 & 240 in the past & do most work myself. My last was a '90 240, which I bought new, with a 5 spd. Not one problem for 66K mis.(I know, not unusual). Now that I'm retired I'd like another 240. Which one is the best - an older one or a '93? Is the automatic OK or should I stay with a manual (I can shift for myself)? Durability is more important than comfort or convenience. This is a great website. Thanks.
