Does anyone know where can I find the M-Bus Connector wiring diagram for the Both the Alpine CHM-630 CD Changer and the factory in-dash radio/cassette player on the 94 960?
I bought my car and the previous owner removed the factory installed cd changer to her 96 volvo. She did left me the original cable that was lined in the car to the truck. When I get my CHM-630 from etronics a week ago, I realized that the CHM-630 has a male connector which is of the same sex as the connector wire in my car. I am hoping to get a female-female connector (or build my ownadapter) instead of yanking the original wire out. This would also save me the trouble of installing the adapter cable on the indash unit to connect the Alpine cd changer. Is what I am thinking feasible?
If I have to pull out the old cable and put in the new cable that come with my changer, Would someone suggest where I should tap the 12V for the adapter? I have an adapter from Clutchfield and there is not instruction or suggest as to where I should pull the 12V for the adapter. I would think that the 12V come from the one pin that is not connector on the other end. But I am wondering why would they pull that pin out and put in an additional wire for running to a 12V supply through a fuse?
sorry for all the questions I have. This is my first volvo and also my first time exploring and having fun exploring this car. That is why I ask so many questions on the maintenance and upgrading of this car. I want to learn more about it.
