where to start looking for this problem before i'm broke 700 1992

AMM: Determine out how car runs with the AMM attached. IMMORTANT - SHUT CAR OFF. Disconnect the AMM and see how car responds, if the car runs better then the AMM could be shot.

Air Box T-stat: Remove it from car and use a hair dryer on the hot setting to test its operation (while I have not done this personally, you get the idea that hot air must make the flapper work or it's busted).

IAC: Remove this item and then spray carb cleaner repeatedly into it. DRY it out thoroughly. Then use a light oil to lube the acctuator. Reinstall.

Also use OBD to electronically test these items as outlined in the FAQ.
