While you got that cap off, don't forget to check other obvious stuff... have the points closed up? Make sure none of the points wires ain't grounding out... Make sure the condenser is securely attached.

But... I'm guessing its probably the injection system. Being somehwat of an intermittent problem....all I can say is Best o' luck! I do like the bad connection at the temp sensor idea though. Used to happen a lot on my 164. Be real careful not to break the white clip that holds the wire connectors. Its gonna be brittle.
