am I missing something? B18B mystery hole 120-130

I'm swapping intake/exhaust manifolds on my late 67 122 and I'm curious about this threaded hole I noticed. Picture of it below. I'm wondering if I am missing something, a sender or some bolt that is supposed to be in the hole? I've looked through my Haynes manual and can't find an explanation. most of the oil on the engine is concentrated in that area, so hopefully replacing whatever it is will help the oil leak. Sound plausible?

Thanks in advance.
