'new' volvo - where to start? 200 1977

Hi,

I've just been give a 1977 2444, 4speed. The idle is very low, and it doesn't seem to have much power. It has about 270 000km, so I'm not expecting perfection.

I've never had to play with one of these new-fangled fuel injection things - what are the first things to check? If it proves to be a bad motor, I've got a 1981 240 wreck with a good B23E (auto). Is it worth swapping? And will the 4speed box mate up with the B23E?
