Price for a Nice 740?? 200

Ok, to begin I KNOW this is the wrong forum. I KNOW that. But, YOU seem to be the most informed and honest people regarding Volvo's I have ever come across. I have a chance to purchase a 1989 Volvo 740 with only 68,000 miles. Same Motor as my 245. It's an automatic Transmission. According to the guy, it has been very well maintained. I will look at it on Sunday. His asking price is $2200.00 He told me the ONLY bad thing is the paint. Needs to be repainted. It has also been serviced at "Jffy-Lube" for the Oil Changes. <>

It has never been in an accident. Reason for low mileage. He is an International Business Executive that travels abroad MUCH and spends little time at home. He is planing on moving back to his home country in a few weeks and is selling his "fleet" of autos - Volvo's Mercedes, etc..

My opinion might change by tomorrow, but right now I was thinking about offering several hundred above his asking price to make sure I can buy it. The A/C blows very cold according to him. I was just wanting to get a little more advice. BTW, thanks to ALL of those people so far that have helped me with my problems, especially Don Foster. That Man ROCKS!!!!

Todd :-)
