first turbo, have some questions 700 1992

Bought my first turbo brick after owning 10-12 na's. Have some questions. Traded an 89 740 GL for this 92 745T. My 89 would warm up in just a few blocks and the temp guage would center itself and stay there rock steady no matter how long or how hard I drove it. Noticed the 92 takes a lot longer to warm up! Also today, got a cold snap in (about 45 F) and I took her out. Stopped and talked with someone for awhile while idling and the temp guage was nearly centered but when I started driving again it very quickly dropped down to about less than a quarter of the way up and stayed there. Wondering if this car has a thermostat? It's been extremely well taken care so I doubt the p.o. would have taken it out but I guess it's possible. So, what thermostat is recommended? This car has 135 K on it. What do I need to start looking for as far as maitenance? What major differences in maintenance between a n/a and a turbo besides the religious 3K oil changes. Noticed a very slight bit of oil coming out of the filler cap. Just a "smear of oil so I plan on taking the flame trap hoses apart to make sure they're clean. Also, what kind of mileage can I expect, assuming I can keep my foot out of the boost.
Thanks
