240 vs V90 S90-V90

So I am looking to upgrade my '84 wagon. We have long thought we would just get a late model 240 ('91-'93), but since these cars are so popular in Oregon, they are kinda hard to find in good condition. I also do not want a fixer (minor stuff ok). Someone suggested I consider a V90 wagon (also RWD which I like), but I haven't really been researching them too much. A local dealer has a '97 for $10K. Should I even consider a V90? Are some years better than others? Are there particulars that I should look for?

THANKS for any and all advice!
