Service Light Reset Help 200

Did an archive search on this subject and found out how to reset the service light on a 90 model 240 by pushing the small button on the lower right side of the instrument cluster with the key in the #2 position. Am I doing this right, because this procedure did not work with my neighbor's 240 last night. It always works with my 745t.
