Strange Noise??? Too close to Halloween? 200 1986

Lately (past 2-3 days) I've been noticing a strange noise at the rear of "The Blue B!+CH." It sounds like air hissing from a tire but it's not. It's as loud on one side of the car as the other and it “seems” to be coming from some nebulous region of the rear axle. You can plainly hear it over the over the other outside noises.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
