Trans Swap 200

Lots of posts regarding Auto to Manual trans swaps. I need to go the other way. For personal reasons I need to pull my M47 and install an auto in my 88 244 NA.

So....which one is the best. What parts do I need from the doner? Does the shifter poke through the exact same hole in the floor? Do I need to change the rear end (I understand manuals have 3.31 gears and auto's got 3.73's). Are the cross members the same? Are the tranny's the same length (drive shaft issues).
