off topic Toyota wiring question 200

Sorry guys a bud asked me for help and he has no book... I read around and it seems you can ask all you want about Toyota, but never get much of any reply...

1988 V-6 3.0 efi 4x4 with no name?? 3vz maybe.

problem no low beam on the left side.

This system has a relay that has 4 terminals, and gets power from a swivel switch, which powers 2 fuses, but unlike Volvo the power grounds back at the switch somewhere...

I test the bulb that was out on low beam and it works fine on the right...

I was confused at first as I have no idea this was a ground swtiching system, and so with the bulb in place 2 contacts at a time light a test light.

I think the problem is at the switch.... the wires are about 22 gauge at the switch....

Thanks... At least here i will get some answer even if it take a long walk off a short pier.... Mac
