With insurance companies raising rates for any reason, I'd avoid going to them. I've got an '80. No collision or comprehensive because it may be book valued below $500.

By putting in a claim, you may see your driver rating drop for about 5 years and be paying the higher ins. for that period. It may be worth it to pay out of pocket.

Maybe handing the bus owner an estimate and offering to go through small claims will get results. Remember we are talking $Casino$ here.

You might be able to fix the stuff that got damaged yourself.
