M46 lube-Any recent changes? 700

I was shipped Redline ATF D4 for my M46. I have always used Type F with no problems and following this most recent change my syncros are grinding on a real regular basis. Especially when going from neutral after sitting at a stop light with the clutch out. The supplier* assures me the D4 is just fine. I had previously used Redline racing type F. I think the D4 is too slippery!

BTW the clutch is fine, no problems going into reverse.

Also where can I buy a good synthetic Type F?

*I won't mention the supplier as I want to give them the benefit of doubt.
