Starter trouble 900 1995

I just brought home a new one, and some new problems to sort out (typical). This is one I have never run across before.


When starting (this is an intermitten problem) the car starts fine but sometimes there is a grining noise after the car starts up. It is almost like the starter is staying on a little too long. Any ideas. I am going to check electrical components since it si intermittent. I'll start with checking and cleaning the connections and move from there. Any direction or commments certainly welcome.
