Wiring for heated seat already there? 200 1984

I just bought a set of OEM heated seats from eBay. The seller says that the 240s already have the wiring for the elements. My Bentley says the '83 to '85 240s had the heated seat available only for the driver's seat. In theory, would the wiring already be there in my '84? I peeked under the seat and a bit under the carpeting and found nothing. I may take the seat out and pull back the carpeting to see if it's hiding somewhere.

If not, can anybody help me on the wiring for the elements and the switch or is it pretty obvious - black is ground, anything else is power?

Do the elements go "inside" the foam or just under the fabric between the foam and my booty?

Lastly, in removing the seat, what's easier - removing the seat from the mounting rails or remove the rails with the seat still attached?

Thanks much!
