Dash Paint / Stain? 200 1979

I'm just about ready to finish putting in the 90 dash into my 79 264GL. The dash color actually looks okay but I would like to get rid of the tan corners of the dash and keep the dash one color, just like the stock dash came. I was told not to use paint but to try to find some VINYL DYE / COLOR. Has anyone ever heard of that or have any idea how to give this dash some color? I'm not a PICASSO when it comes to painting but I would like to make this look as nice as possible. Thanks to all in advance for your time.

Sincerely,

Nickvjr
