What is this? 900

PP,

I too was wondering what that tab thing is for... I also tried to pull it out but gave up after I thought it would break. Will be following this thread to see what others have to say.

Concerning knowing which pads to order. Your '95 940T with ABS brakes only has one choice of pads, check out this page in the FAQ: Brake Pad Pictures Yours should be the "REPCO 1198" style for "900 w/Girling ABS 91-on front". Not sure exactly what "REPCO" is, maybe a name brand or an industry standard. My 1994 945T has the same calipers as shown in your picture and I used this style pad. Also, if you were to visit the FCP Groton 900 Series Brake page it gives you a few name brand choices of pads with the same "Girling calipers w/ABS '91 to '97" description. I think the pad/caliper confusion was for 700 series cars in the late 80's.

Good luck with getting that tab out!
