A Case of the Glove Box Blues.... 200

Ok so in my '88 244 the glove box no longer latched very well. What has happened is the front decor of the glove box started separating from the backing and somehow messing up the lock too, I decided I would try to shim the locking mechanism down to create a tighter lock. No luck.

I expoxied the front decor of the glove box to the backing and that worked for a couple of weeks, now back to square one.

Anyone have any good fixes for this? I have the glove box that is black on top and tan on the bottom 1/2. Oh yea and I somehow lost the box lock locknut, so I need to get a new lock or something.

I know this sounds like it's not that big of a deal, but seriously IT IS!

Anyone with help or that has parts lying around send me an email or drop a reply here if you can help.

Thanks in advance!
