Rear TAB's, Eat My Shorts! 200 1988

Ok so after months of talking about it and one previous attempt at it, I finally beat those freakin' rear Trailing Arm Bushings! It took me about 5 hours total time with air wrench, air chisel and the homebrew special tool. But I am $500 richer and have the right to say I am cool! See here in Minnesota we have rust, an a$$load of it and the homebrew tool does nothing but put the bushing in, hence the air chisel and twice the amount of time needed.
It took me about 3/4 the time getting the old bushings out and 1/4 putting the new ones in.

The original bushings, which lasted 169K, were severely shot, I would post a pic of them, but they look worse than they actually did under the car since I air chiseled the heck out of them. I changed the shocks as well and the car rides nice (now just to tackle the front suspension in jan).

I want to thank all those who gave me advice on how to tackle this job and of course the utmost respect to Neil Wilcer who fabricated that freakin tool that is not worth $200 from volvo to use once. BTW if anyone wants my homebrew tool to try this wonderful experience themselves, send me an email and you can have it for shipping cost. You will probably need to pick up a new bolt and nuts, but the rest of it is fine and worked great!

Whoever is keeping track of the names of people who have done this job, add mine please...maybe i'll make myself a T-shirt too!

Thanks everyone!
