Al, I hope this isn't nit-picking but the sensor doesn't work quite like you said:
"Case of different electrical flow (amps,etc) rate. The slightest drop/ rise in flow rate triggers 'bulb out' light"

It actually compares the current flow *between two* (supposedly identical) bulbs. As long as both new bulbs are the same brand (which assumes same resistance), it should be OK. However, replacing just 1 of a pair can trigger a warning light, but not always. That's how it's always worked for me. But maybe John's bulbs new bulbs are an exception.

I'd like to know the brand of bulbs he switched to.
