1987 240DL short/ground issue?

My 87 240 DL I thought only blew a fuse, but when I replace it and turn on the headlights, the thing blows again. I don't have tail lights and dash light because of this, and I need help in finding the culprit to it grounding out or shorting like this. I can't drive at night now. Everything else works! (Brake lights, headlights, amber lights, reverse lights, turn signals) One thing I DID notice happen before this event was my glove box light all of a sudden started to glow weakly on it's own and it hasn't done this in years! (I don't have a glove box door, and the light has always been off since the door broke) Could this be the problem somehow? Has anyone else had this problem and if you have, can you please tell me what it was that was causing it in your Volvo?? HELP!!!!
