Resetting 'Check Engine' light 200

Hi...

The Check Engine light is on in my '89 240, as i pointed out in a prior post. A kind soul who responded mention that it's not likely anything overly serious or fatal, and I've seen suggestions that i just reset the light so it goes out...it is pissing me off to look at it while driving. There does not seem to be any kind of change in the car's performance. It happened while I was doing 75 (don't tell anyone) on an interstate...came on, won't go off.

How do I turn the damned thing off...please tell me it's REALLY easy, because I am nothing short of deadly with a wrench in hand.

mike
