Relocating radio to upper dash location 200

Greetings all,

I am about to remove the old pushbutton AM/FM radio in my '85 DL wagon (located in the lower dash area) and install a new CD receiver in the upper dash location. I believe that I have seen reference to some radios being mounted in the upper location. Is this a factory installation?

In mounting a radio in the upper dash area, can the bracket which secures the radio in the lower area be reused in the upper area? Or is there a specific bracket for the upper location? And is there a cover plate or storage bin that can be used to fill in the old radio location once removed?

And of course, if someone out there has the brackets/covers/storage bins that I will need to perform this operation, are they willing to sell them to me?

Thanks,
Tony Fontaine
