will mineral spirits clean silicon spray off windshield?

I use rainx -when I think of it. Wished it had been fresh on the trip this morning, though.

Saw your subject line and immediately thought of rain-x's stripper/cleaner. It kinda reminds me of an old product called "Glass Wax" in the way it is used. If they say it cleans off rainx it oughta do a good job with the overspray? I don't know how well mineral spirits dissolves silicone. I'd instinctively want to try isopropyl alcohol.
