740 with 'walking struts' 700 1991

I was putting the newly acquired '91 740 on the ramps last night and noticed that (at least) the left front wheel was 'walking' up the ramp as I braked - it would come back a little bit after it stopped forward motion. Not a braking problem, more as if the bottom of the strut was loose. Any clues out there? Thanks and, as always, I can't believe the amount of experience and willingness to share on this board. It's too bad the rest of the world can't use it as a model for diplomacy! Dave Berquist, Chesapeake, VA
ps: 17yr old son just ran into the rearend of his friend's RX7 - slight damage to the RX7, sealed the fate of the 230000 mi 87 240 wagon that was getting pretty tired. Anybody need parts?
