transmission fluid 200

Hi,

this fall I switched my transmission oil (manual 5 speed with electronic OD) from Mobil 1 10W/30 to Amsoil. I initially noticed a nice improvement in shifting ease, but now I'm getting some slipping. It happened on the coldest day so far here in Chicago. I only got in 2 quarts of Amsoil, not the 2.4 the manual says the tranny holds.

Could the tranny be low that's the cause of the slipping?

Could Amsoil not be the right oil for cold weather use?

What procedure works best for getting the most oil into the tranny? Parking on a hill or jacking the car up from the drivers front wheel?

Thanks, Larry
