I Need Help-hesitation/bogs down when accelerating 200 1988

I'ts a gold 1988 240DL sedan w/190kmi.(stick) I had problems with the AMM about three months ago.(reading some of the other threads helped me make it home a short distance "limping"-thanks) It was replaced with a rebuilt one which also failed. Now it has been replaced again and the car has been running great until two nights ago
.
Problem: It starts and idles fine, but when pressing on the gas to accelerate-instead it decellerates and has no power. This can sometimes be avoided by very, very slowly and gently accelerating.

A local mechanic has tried to diagnose it and has given up. He said that its getting fuel fine and the AMM tests ok and suspects an electrical problem. I have gotten some leads reading this forum but it I dont know quite where to start.

the busses here are on strike. Any ideas for a DIY fix would be greatly appreciated.-Thanks!
