O2 Sensor 900 1993

Thanks for the info...Mine sounds identical. I don't know how to get the codes. The Check Engine light is not on when running and it doesn't come on when the key is turned to position 2 prior to starting. I don't know if the previous owner did something to disable.

The car failed miserably for high NOX on dyno. I've checked the engine area and can't find any vacuum leakage. I pulled the O2 sensor and it was black. Put a digital voltmeter on the probe and it was way under 0.1 Vdc (wouldn't this make it lean?) and it didn't move that much. It never got near 0.1. I'll try again at the spade connector near the strut tower to make sure the reading was right.

The car gets about 23 mpg on the highway but I've been having a hunting idle ever since I got the car. I cleaned the throttle body, ICV and adjusted TPS to no avail. The high NOX has me looking at the O2 sensor and perhaps this ties in with the hunting idle; an O2 sensor, ICV, computer relationship. Is this making sense....??? lol

I didn't see a date on the sensor but my guess is original with 144K.

Thanks!
Bob
