Pics of failed intake manifold gasket 700

Thought this might be interesting to some. '91 740T started idling horribly. I traced the vacuum leak to the intake gasket. Here's what it looked like when I removed it. I guess this is a good reason to never sandwich two gaskets. I have no idea who did this or why but you can clearly see where one gasket shrunk and was actually partially blocking the intake runners. It totally failed on #4 cyl and was making a sound like when you blow across a piece of paper stretched tight between your fingers.

On a side note, both my check engine light and SRS light came on when I was done replacing the gasket. I reset both lights and all is well but I spent a good half-hour in the FAQ trying to figure out how to reset those lights!
