jammed hood - wrecked 940 900

I am preparing to part out my (front end collision) 1994 945T, but need to get the hood off. The collision did not disturb the engine bay but the hood is slightly akilter and won't open. I accept that once it is carefully cut or otherwise opened I will need to protect the engine bay and all the good bits inside. Since the battery is discharged, I can't demo the engine without this surgery. Any advice on how to proceed?

I am thinking of a short blade sawzall on the hinges; fortunately the rear of the hood is raised up an inch or two. Perhaps I can prevail on someone to take a few pictures of an open hood 940. Thanks for any assistance.

Josh
