car battery 200 1987

Hi everybody-

Tonight (a rainy one in NYC) when I moved my car to the other side of the street I went to turn it on after driving it down the street and parking it and it didn't start. It attempts to turn over but doesn't. I had the rear wiper on as well as the front ones. I haven't been driving it much this past month and I HAVE been guilty of listening to the radio while parked, not idling and not with the ignition? (red light) on.

Please tell me it doesn't start because it hasn't had a chance to charge up because I haven't driven it alot and not that it's something electrical! It has a less than a year old Interstate battery and a rebuilt alternator which was just put in in June because I did have some problems electrically.

I notice lately that the radio has static on it sometimes and that when I brake you can hear an electrical clicking sound thru the radio.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Tomorrow, will my car miraculously start?

Thanks, Michele
