Various 740 issues (mostly transmission) 700 1986

I'm trying to troubleshoot the overdrive in my 740 turbo (4 speed manual w/ overdrive). I replaced the OD relay and the gear shift switch, but I still don't hear the relay click when I put it in fourth (with the ignition on but the engine not running) and press the switch.

I'm thinking the source of the problem is between the gear shift and the relay. Or is it from the other direction (e.g., the gear box)?

Also, the wiper fluid reservoir apparently has a leak somewhere. I filled it up the other day and now it's dry. And after I filled it up, no fluid sprayed through the nozzles.

Any suggestions on either would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Joe
