B20E head or engine in '72 ES 1800

I'm very happy with the lower compression I have with my F head my PV's engine. A few extra HP gained by a higher compression head wouldn't make --that-- much difference (my engine isn't very stock as is, probably around 170 hp). Possibly retarding the timing to prevent pinging would end up stealing those few HP's right back. And having to put premium gas in it at 20 cents extra per gallon would be a pain in the wallet.
