removing the fuel rail; what gives 200 1986

Hi, I have an intake manifold from an 1986/87? volvo 240

It still has the injectors and fuel rail on it. I cannot get the fuel rail off of the injectors. Is it just a snug fit, and I can just pull it off?

I have already removed a metal C-clip for each injector that resides on the top part and seems to connect the injectors to the rail. The clip is like a C shape that is a centimeter thick with two ridges on the top and two ridges on the bottom (so that it can hold the two parts togeter I suppose)

Anyhow if I pull REALLY hard I can see the rubber of the injector comming out a little from the rail, but I don't want to break the injectors, & I can't pull much harder without some sort of reverse clamp...

Am I missing something..
Thanks
