K-Jet Constant Idle ECU 200 1981

OK

I now have tested (according to Haynes) the connectors at the Constant Idle ECU, the black and blue connectors. Everything checks out ok, at first I didn't have same resistance reading at the connector as I did at the coolant sensor, but I took care of that. Last test is to jump terminals 4 and 1 and jump terminals 5 and 2 of the black connector to simulate cold engine running condition. Haynes states to then start the engine and the rpms should be 1,600 to 2,400, which it was. So then the book says if engine speed does not increase to proper range with the ECU connected, replace the ECU.

My issue has been shaky idle. Also, I never get a high cold start idle.

So this is the first real confirmed test failure I've come across in my troubleshooting. I need also to add that when I took over the car, the PO's smog test showed high HC.

My question is does this test on the ECU sound right, and second where can I find another ECU?

Are there other tests I can perform to cross check the ECU?
