940 suddenly looses power 900 1992

My '92 940 suddenly lost power as I was driving. Pulled over, car stalled, but restarted and ran fine. Several days went by and it did it again. Once, it regained power before stalling and the second time only a few minutes later again lost power, but this time it stalled and took a couple of tries to restart.

The first time it occured I was on a back road at 30 mph or so. The other times I was on the highway at 65-70 mph.

The first occurence was approximately 3 miles from home, so car was just warming up, the highway incident was after the car was well warmed up.

Checked fault codes. Got a 223 and a 122, but nether of those seem like they would have caused the problem.

I did go through the diagnostic tests on the IAC, but it was clicking as it should. I'm not sure about the air temp sensor code, but if I disconnect the cable, the check engine light will come on, so it must be getting a signal.

I reset all the codes and will see if they trip again. Drove the car most of the day without incident. This car is used mainly by my kids, so I'm concerned with the problem.
