I am looking for some help in identifying two Volvo's. Both are model 444ES.
One is chassis #57026 and the other is chassis #60735. Both are original and were purchased by the owner from a Volvo museum in Sweden over 20 years ago and have been sitting in a barn in Texas ever since. I can't find any VIN's just chassis plates on the firewall and the engine numbers. One still has the import tag on the window from when it was shipped to the US from Volvo. The current owner has a prospective buyer but never had the Volvos registered in the US and never recieved titles. The vehicles were never driven here. He is going through the process to get transferrable titles and I am the agent who is inspecting the cars for the State of Texas. I can't find the year of manufacture on either car and our computer records don't go back that far for Volvo. The owner tells me that they are both 1953 models. My question is: How do I tell what year model they are?
For those collectors that are drooling he also has a 1966 Rolls and a 1967 Bently sitting next to the Volvos. All are under a quarter inch of dust.
