'95 940 Stalling Problem 900

About a week or ago, after driving about 1 hour, the car died suddenly (just started moving at green light). Tach dropped and fluttered quite a bit. Could almost keep running by rapidly working throttle. After about 5 minutes car restarted and I went about 200 yards to a parking lot and it died again.

Mechanic spent a lot of time with the car, trying to find problem (since it was intermittent) and he found a small amount of oil in the distributer, so the distrubuter seal was redone and new cap, rotor and wires were installed (car was due for them).

Picked up car last night. Drove ~3 miles home, no problem. This morning drove ~20 miles without incident and then to work (~50 miles). Just as I was getting to work, the car died again as it had before. Car ran fine up until the time it died (about 1 minute before it died it did almost stall).

Car could not be immediately restarted. Again, working the throttle could almost keep it running, but it still died. Tach would jump to about 1000 RPM before dropping back to 0 (stayed at 0 even though it seemed like the engine was trying to stay on). After five minutes, car started and I parked it.

The main fuel pump was replaced about a month ago and the in tank pump about 1.5 years ago. The Fuel pump relay was replaced with the main pump. It is a Bosch FI car, with an 8V engine. There are no codes on the on board diagnostics when they are checked. The check engine light comes on when the car stalls, but so do all of the other warning lights, so I don't think it is a real check engine condition.

What is the next step? From reading the board, next on my list are the Radio Supression Relay, Crank Position Sensor, and Ignition Transister Unit. I would have thought that a bad CPS would have shown up on the on board diagnostics, so I don't think that is the case.

Anyone have any similiar problems and suggested fixes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
