UPDATE (cold idle.. help needed !!) 200 1989

Pfft. San Jose isn't cold. I drove up to Reno (from the North Bay.. which is.. really !#$!# cold right now) the past weekend. Now that's cold.

Anyways.. the TPS on the LH 2.4/3.1 cars is a potentiometer(sp?), not just a switch. In theory a misadjusted or failed TPS could have a nasty impact. This also means that they're harder to find in the junkyards.

Yes, the TPS should click for WOT and idle.. but better yet, you could rig up a test light to verify everything.

Yes, the Bentley is the (one of the) best overall manual you can get for the 240. Get yourself a copy if you plan to do more work on your 240.
