When to let go? 86 GLE Hard start/stall 700 1986

Hi All,

Car has 300+ KM's (no odometer, tried 3 swaps, and settled with at least a good speedo) and easily passed e-test again this year again. We've had this car almost 10 years and on balance it has been great.

Recently it however has started into the random no/rough start and then no re-start problem. I had the same problem looked at a few years back and ended up with new Fuel Tank/Pump, Sending Unit, Fuel Regulator, and Mass Airflow Sensor ($482.95), TOTAL $1220.49!

I'm seeing a lot of suggestions for electrical things to check, from Radio Suppression Relay, FPR to the Harness itself, but when is it time to call it a day with this car?

We really don't need this car anymore, and my wife will wonder why I'm trying to fix it. I'm assuming it is not worth much in this condition but I hate to send it off for nothing...
