Here's a link to chassis numbers. It's supposed to be authoritative, and yes, yours should have been a '57.

PS: It can be a bit confusing that the numbers for 1957 and '58 2-door sedans overlap. During the 1957 production run there were 'holes' in the number serie, and these holes were filled out as the production of the '58 model started.
