Tire Sizes on 740? 700 1986

I am planning to change my 14" wheels for 15" wheels. The original 15" wheels (195/60X15) are the same outer diameter as the original 14" wheels (185/70X14). I have been running 215/60X14 which is also the same outer diameter. I don't really like the idea of going from a 215 to a 195 tire.

Has anyone run 205/60X15 or 215/60X15 on a 740 series? How badly does it mess up speedometer accuracy? I think I read somewhere that there is not enough strut clearance to run a 15" tire wider than 205.
